The 3 Content Creation Rule


The 3-Content Rule is simple: Every piece of content you create should have three different lives. You start with one strong idea, and then you intentionally repurpose it into different formats so you can reach more people without starting from scratch each time.

Here’s how it works:


1. Start with long-form anchor content.This is your deep dive — the piece that shares your full idea or story. It might be a podcast episode, a blog post, a YouTube video, or a keynote talk. This is where you give the most value and set the tone for everything else.


2. Break it down into medium-form content.Pull out a key point or two and turn it into something shorter but still substantial. This could be a LinkedIn post, a short article, or an email to your list. It’s designed to deliver value quickly while inviting people to check out your long-form piece.


3. Create micro-content to grab attention.Think of these as little sparks — short Reels, TikToks, quotes, or behind-the-scenes snapshots. Their job is to catch someone’s eye and get them curious enough to dive deeper.


By following this process, you give your ideas multiple chances to land. You’re not repeating yourself — you’re showing up in different ways for different types of people. Some will watch a video, others will read an email, and some will only see your quick-hit social post. The 3-Content Rule makes sure all of them hear your message.
